WE ARE LOOKING FOR TEAM LEADER, TRANSPORT PLANNINGH IN KOKKOLA

As Team Leader for Transport Planning, you have overall responsibility for making sure your team's daily assignments meet customer requirements and our shared goals. You plan and assign the team's work, prioritise ferry slots and available capacity, and make sure deviations are handled as agreed.

You lead the team's daily operations and work closely with the Resource Team, Sales and the Crossdocking Hub. You follow up on results, make sure the team has enough people when someone is away, and guide your team members when plans change. You report to the Business Unit Manager.

This is an internal recruitment.

About the role

• plan and assign the team's daily operational work

• lead the team day to day: follow up on goals, secure staffing when people are away, take corrective action when needed, and plan on-call shifts with the other Team Leaders

• prioritise ferry slots and capacity so they are used as well as possible

• make sure the team handles deviations properly: tells everyone involved straight away, logs them in Attracs, and deals with them as part of the transport assignment

• improve how we work from the customer's point of view, together with the Process Manager and the Business Unit Manager

• build the team's skills, and guide and advise team members

You bring

• in-depth experience of transport planning at Ahola Transport

• good knowledge of the market: customers, freight flows and seasonal patterns

• the ability to make decisions even when you don't have all the information

• the ability to prioritise, especially when it comes to ferry slots and capacity

• a feel for what the team needs before anyone asks

• tolerance for unfinished situations, because days rarely go exactly to plan

• a willingness to guide, advise and motivate others

• a proactive approach and an eye for patterns and trends in daily freight flows
